Continue Game Play:
In the Classic version, there is no apparent continuation mode. However, when you get a 'Game Over' go back to the screen where you start on level 1 and scroll down. You will see the Bubble Bobble dinosaur go down on a elevator-type platform to stop at the last level you were at. For example, if you died at level 14 then you can continue again at that point after the 'Game Over'.

Power Up! Mode (Classic Version):
At the ''Classic'' Mode title screen enter: Select, R, L, Left, Right, R, Select, Right. This is the same effect as collecting shoes (Move faster, make bubbles faster)

Secrets:
Accessing final 10 levels (in New Version)
To access the final ten levels, you have to collect 9 letters. To get these, kill at least 4 enemies in one Super Bubble, and collect the key icon that is dropped. Then, carry on until the boss of that zone (levels ending in 0) and kill it. Instead of dropping a giant gem, it will leave a letter. Pick up nine of these (one per boss) to ultimately finish the game.

Super Bubble Bobble (Classic Version):
Firstly, beat boss in classic mode with 2 players. Enter code at ''Classic'' mode title screen: Left, R, Left, Select, Left, L, Left, Select. This unlocks the harder mode of the game.

Unlock Robolun (New version):
To unlock Robolun, finish all 100 levels in the new version, and select him from the character select menu. He moves faster than Bobblun and Bubblun, but can't jump as high.

Unlockable: Special Title and Ending Screen
during Hard Land mode, you must purchase the token from the Info Booth in the castle section with all 50 coins and complete the game.

Bomberman

Super Dangerous Bomb
Kick a Rubber Bomb into a Dangerous Bomb; this may also work with other kind of bombs. You can also kick two Rubber Bombs. They will both hit each other and make a Super Danger Bomb.

Continuous explosions
Equip either the Invincibility power-up or the Fire Suit. It is best to equip some Speed-Ups, Bomb-Ups, and Flame-Ups for the trick to be more effective. Plant a bomb and stand next to it, waiting for it to explode. Meanwhile, repeatedly tap A to plant a second bomb in the blast, then another, and so on. The process can continue for as long as desired. Having the Bomb-Ups simply means the chance of failure is reduced, while the Flame-Ups and speed-Ups allow you to cover more ground during the time you are invincible to the bomb blasts.

Walk in place in multi-player mode
While playing the game in multi-player mode, hold R, move slightly, then stop. If you are still holding R, your character will walk in place.

Saving items
It is possible to save important items for the next level, such as glasses or the firesuit.

Bomb Up: Increases amount of bombs that can be dropped by one (maximum of eight).

Fire Up: Increases firepower of bombs by one level (maximum of eight).

Full Fire: Increases firepower to maximum automatically (maximum of eight).

The following items only last for a single stage of battle; pay attention to the upgrade's button selection.

1 Up: Another life; cannot be stocked.

Heart: Lets Bomberman get out of one blunder such as a bomb blast or enemy contact.

Invincible: A Bomberman upgrade allowing him to be resistant to all forms of attack including bomb and enemy that lasts only for a certain amount of time.

Fire Suit: A Bomberman upgrade allowing him to be resistant to bomb blasts only.

Bomb Down: Decreases the number of bombs able to drop (but will not reach zero).

Rubber Bomb: A bomb that can bounce when punched or kicked.

Skull: Causes a state of illness or a black fog around your player that lasts for one minute. However, if you touch another player the illness will become their problem. Symptoms include speed minimization or lowest speed, will not be able to place a bomb, bombs will drop unexpectedly, and freezing.

Speed Down: Decreases speed by one level (but will not reach zero).

Question Mark: Randomly picks a function of another item.

Easy Crashbreaker
When your Crashbreaker meter is at 99%, press A. You will only have to tap B two or three times to get a full Crashbreaker. Additionally, hold RT until the Crashbreaker meter gets to 100%. When it does, it will be easier to blow up your car.

Use Impact Time on Crash events before the Crashbreaker meter fills. The slower time makes the Crashbreaker easier to bring back up to 100% without having to wildly tap the button.

Easy Takedowns
Get behind another driver and hit them while using the boost to usually get a Takedown.

Better Crash Event ranking
If you do not get the desired rating in a Crash Event (for example, "Awesome" instead of "Great"), do not press Start. Select "Retry" before the final timer starts counting down. Wait until it is done tallying your score, then press X to retry the level. When it starts again, you will have the score you ended with in the previous round before that. It will not start with "OK" at the bottom.

Drifting around corners
When drifting around a corner (mainly hairpins), if your car is oversteering into the inside wall hold Boost and it will move away from the wall. If your car is heading for the outside wall, release Accelerate and it will move away from the wall.

While going around a curve do not release A, instead press B (brake) and turn in the desired direction and you will drift around the curve. This will help lessen crashes.

Glancing off corners
If you glance off a corner (not crash into it) while turning or drifting around it, you can hold Boost to return to top speed a lot faster than waiting for the car to accelerate itself. This is very useful on "Burning Lap" and "Preview" events where the gold medal is difficult to obtain.

Light cars
Light cars are quick, agile, and jump well but lack power in impacts and Crashbreakers. When jumping in strong winds, the Aftertouch responsiveness is affected.

Medium cars
Medium cars are good all-rounders with balanced weight, speed, and Crashbreakers that deliver a decent crash performances.

Heavy cars
Heavy cars are best at smashing through traffic, but slower with less Aftertouch responsiveness (but are less affected by wind). They have the most powerful Crashbreakers.
